Description

Are you longing for greater well-being, balance, and enjoyment in your life? Would you like to discover ways to reduce your stress level? Why not take a Mindfulness-Based Stress-Reduction (MBSR) course and learn powerful, life-enhancing skills that can help you shift in a more positive direction? MBSR teaches meditation and other awareness techniques to help people manage stress, pain, illness, and life's daily challenges more effectively and live with greater vitality, balance, and joy. With over 40 years of experience and vast scientific evidence, MBSR has demonstrated wide-ranging benefits, including improvements in physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Schedule

  • FREE Intro: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, WEDNESDAY, Jan. 29, 2020

  • 8 Weekly Classes: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM, WEDNESDAYS Feb. 5 through Mar. 25, 2020

  • All Day Retreat: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, SATURDAY, Mar. 14, 2020

Logistics

  • Course Location: Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington VA, 4444 Arlington Blvd., Arlington, VA 22204

  • Tuition: $550 includes all course materials and nearly 30 hours of class time. If the tuition is an obstacle for you due to financial circumstances, please contact us to explore a reduction and/or payment plan.

  • Minimum Age:  18 or older (if in high school, special permission from teacher is required; please email Karyn@amindfulchoice.com to explore).

  • Not Sure Yet? You are welcome to join us for the Information Session for free, but space is limited so please contact us to let us know you are coming.

  • Refund Policy: Refunds are available up to 7 days before the program begins, less a $50 processing fee.

More Information

If you are looking for the FULL, in-depth MBSR course, this is it!  The program is facilitated by an experienced, Qualified MBSR Teacher who is trained by the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical Center; the founding organization that trains and qualifies MBSR teachers.  

Please note that MBSR is not offered as a replacement for traditional medical and psychological treatments, but as a complement to them.
